Pcmforless Tuning Vs. Madz28

I would like to hear some opinions about experiences people have had
with the above two tuners. Pro's and Con's.
I noticed that including the core, PCMFORLESS charges $100 more
than Madz28. Do you think this warranted? Does PCM give more
detailed and more complex tuning?

95Z28LT1A4 Red w/Black Ttop. Full race susp, 3:83 R/P, etc. too
much too list.

You can't go wrong with either tuner, both do excellent work and both are well respected on this board. I went with Madz28 because as you noticed, he is a little cheaper and he is also local to me so that was a selling point as well. Either way though, you will get a good tune and very similar results from either.

I had my computer done by MadZ28. When he tuned my car for my first cam it was a night and day difference, I would definately recommend him to you. He also gets the computer out to you pretty fast.

I second that.

I too went with MadZ28. They are both well respected aside from their work it has always impressed me when we have both of them co-existing professionaly here on the board. I have seen some crazy mudslinging on other boards.

It would take you days to read all the complimets that they both have received.

Like the others have said, for the price you cant go wrong with either. Both seem like good guys and have earned a good name. In the future I want to send them both dyno logs and Datamaster logs and get a tune then run them both back to back just for the heck of it. I also want to try a Ed Wright tune if he no longer locks them.

I've used ION for the Last 2 tunes on my car... his service is excellent, The last time i met up with him he re-did a tune on my brothers 95Z that another company did because it was all messed up and unsafe for the mods he had for Free!! so i will continue to use him and recommend him to anyone and everyone that ask.

I dealt with Bryan at PCMforless and have nothing but good things to say about the experience. Although I have not personally dealt with MadZ28, from what I have read I think it would be a similar pleasure. Looks like a choice with no downside. Don't see much of that anymore!

Re: Pcmforless Tuning Vs. Madz28

I went with PCMforLess but Ion at Madz28 has been really helpful when i've had questions/problems with my car so they've both been helpful. I will throw this out my Buddy looked at both tunes and said they're almost identical. People seem to think tunes are very specific but their not. I'm running the same tune that my buddy has on his 224/230 xe on my BRE cam and these cams are nothing a like. My car runs great with it.

I've used both and have nothing but good things to say about them. They both provided excellent mail order tunes.

Re: Pcmforless Tuning Vs. Madz28

Bryan has tuned my cars and done a great job on all of them. For the LS1 it was a night and day difference in performance.. I have heard great things about ion as well.
