Mid 12 second car? lol Heads/cam LT1 in a car with stall/gears, slicks/skinnies, etc. is at least an 11.5-12.0 car. I (along with many others who have gone quicker) ran a 12.4 @ 111.5 with stock untouched heads in 4000' DA in a 6 speed.

12scndz's car runs alright, but it's nothing impressive IMO. Guys have gone quicker with bolt-ons and there are many cam-only LT1s running just as quick/quicker.

Yeah, 12scndz has the right to be proud of his car just as Krein has the right to be annoyed.

Yea...There's about 39 that are quicker here...How many are "bolt-on" cars?
How many are cam only? Then check how many of the 39 quicker than I am that have stock bottom ends and full weight???
I never claimed to be the quickest, but I'm definitely quicker than "Kry MC".

That list is horrible, I bet you'd be 500 on a real list.....I'm not saying your car isnt fast, but judging how fast it is off that list is just plain dumb.

 

I was very pleased with Ion/Madz28 and has been very helpful since with update tunes.

 

I could assemble a list of 200 cars that my '97 would be the quickest car on. Point?

That list is hardly representative of the entire LT1 F-body population.

You need a reality check...that, or clarify your point because you hardly made one.

 

12 second quarter mile on a cc305 is pretty good.

Once again i'll say this look at the user Dragon Racing his 93z28 is fast. ran low 13's with CAI and a cutout then added headers RR'sand a stall and ran mid 12's now has suspension mods and he is down to low 12's now that is a fast bolt on f-body

 

Hey guys, thank you for all you that actually gave me your opinions. For the rest of you, please start your own thread if you want to argue with one another. I don't want to hear it and I don't think anyone else clicked on this thread to read about who's car is fastest.

BTW, I sent my computer off this morning to PCMforless. Can't wait to see how you guys do Rooster. Take care of it.

You guys need to calm down. 12scndz wasnt hurting anyone with his post. I would say that with his mods he is running great times. You guys just need to keep your other opinions to yourselves.

 

Alvin (Rooster) is a really great guy to deal with. I finally had a chance to meet him in person a few months ago when he came up for the dyno session. I've already spoke to him about doing the chip for my new motor with the 487 cam. He assures me he can hit the tune as close as he did for my CC305.
I'm sincerely sorry for going off topic with your thead. I hope you can understand that this yo yo has been following me from thread to thread like he has some personal vendetta against me. I hope you can also understand that I've NEVER claimed my car was the quickest out there...But, it does run damn good for an emissions legal, full weight, stock bottom end car. I just get a little defensive when some idiot claims my car doesn't run very well when he's a second SLOWER than I am. I'd also like you to please note that his original post had NOTHING to do with your topic. I originally got on this thread to give you an honest opinion about who I'd choose out of the 2 companies you were asking about. I base that opinion on what my car runs. So, Yes, posting my quarter mile times is important to showing what kind of product PCMFORLESS sells. Am I right or wrong? When I want someones opinion on a particular product, I like to know how it makes their car perform.

I just want to step in for a second here on the defensive side for 12SCNDZ here. What you guys may not be realizing is that his car, other than the slicks and skinnies, is a FULL WEIGHT car, and still has ALL of the emissions equipment. I saw his last sniffer test sheet at the dyno day we did, and that thing compared to a off the line stock car. It was amazing. I told him he needed a gold frame for it. Anyway, yeah, there's people running faster than him. Running faster with larger cams and/or lighter cars. I for one am impressed at the fact that he's turning those times in not so great weather on a mail order tune (go PCMFORLESS) and can do it without having to pay off some shop to give him an emissions sticker.

I'm not sure why kreinmc is flapping his mouth when he runs a full second slower in his car with a bigger cam (cc306 according to his sig). Me thinks he should just shut up if he isn't going to contribute to the thread and answer the original posters question.

That being said, i got a PCM Forless tune here. No complaints about the accuracy of the tune based of scan results. I have not been able to dyno tune yet. I will say that overall the process of dealing with the guys @ PCM forless went really well.
