the pcm says misfire... but

the car feels and sounds fine....

if i had a miss at one time and now it is fine would it still show up if it wasn't cleared?

in other words... do you have to clear the miss from the pcm?

Yes.
Once "SET" it stays in the PCM, until deleted. Most of the newer code readers can erase codes.
