hy guys I have a 1996 Z28 camaro and the pcm is damaged, what is the best thing to do? Please help me I want m car to run.....

 

is it flashed damaged? if so check out mad tuner, he does reflashes of the pcm for about 50 bucks and its about a 2 day turn around from when he gets it

 

it is completely damaged, i want to buy another one but can i just replace it and run or do a have to do something with the security and the key, ant suggestions.

 

Places like pcmforless.com will send you a programmed pcm with your vin info and any mods you have. There is a change for the core that you would have to eat I am assuming. It was a long time ago, so this info is from memory. You could check there website for current info.

 

What happened to it?

 

I don't know what happened to it, i bought the car from my wife family when my father in law died and it was not running for almost 3 years, i know that it got a lot of water from the rain, after i got the car i fixed somethings and i put it running, but 3 days after that it wont start anymore.
i asked 3 different people to scan it and all 3 told me that the pcm was damaged.
