PCM flashing question
Hey all,
Quick question.....Is it possible for a dealer to flash your pcm with just the pcm itself or do they need the whole car? Any idea how much this costs? Can I do it with a scan tool? Thanks!

May I ask why you need this done?
But to answer your question, the dealer will most likely NOT program a PCM without a car.
And they can charge anywhere from $50 to $200+
for such an operation.
If you need your PCM returned back to stock, I can give you a better deal (for the same thing) and I don't need you to bring me the car.

what exactly are you trying to have them 'flash'?
no they will need the car to plug into the obd connection under the dash.
I don't know of any dealers doing custom programming so who knows what it would cost.
A scan tool is a read only device. Again, what are you trying to accomplish by flashing it.
