I brake torque mine to 1200 rpm with the et streets any higher and it seems to bog .but with dragradials I seem to get better 60 fts(best 1.66)with bringing it upto about 1800 on the brake.I guess every setup is different

I brake stall mine as high as I can get it at the line(2,400-2,600) and let it rip!

RedBird is right every car is different. I launch my 69 at 4500 off foot brake for best 60ft times of 1.52 7.0s in the 1/8th. One buddy leaves at 1300 in his 68 camaro and has consistent 1.62s, at 7.4s in the 1/8th. another in his 68 Bird leaves off tansbrake at 4200 and is in the 1.38-1.40 range, at 6.3 in the 1/8th. so as you can see not every car is not the same. just go out try different ways and rember have FUN!!!!

Couple of more considerations:

1) A lot of converter makers say flashing the converter will net higher stall speeds.

2) Bringing the converter up against the brakes at higher RPMs :
a] Builds A lot of heat.
b] Builds heat very quickly!

Personnely, I leave at maybe 1200-1300 RPM, just enough to load the drivetrain.
