passing mass emissions without air/egr

hey i live in mass and my car is a 94 so it doesnt have to pass the emissions sniffer anymore. But I do still have to pass the obd1 system check. I have emissions headers on it now, but if I put on competition headers with no hookups and block all the fittings, I know i will get a check engine light. If I use my tunercat to turn off the air and egr, will my pcm show up as emissions not ready? I just dont want to get a check engine light, from removing it.

In OBD-I you can remove the AIR system completely, and as long as there is a good fuse and relay in the AIR pump electrical circuit, you will not get an SES light or a code.

EGR is a bit hit or miss. The OBD-I diagnostic doesn't seem to be too sensitive, and maybe 20% of the deletions will actually set the SES/code. You might get lucky, you might not.

I'm going to keep the evap can and that portion of it.

But it cannot have a SES light or i wont pass inspection
