Passenger Side O2 removal
Passenger Side O2 removal
Hey guys any tips on removing that guy? Car is a 95 z8 automatic. The car was throwing a code 13 and occasionally sputtering at a steady speed. It’ll straighten out after a quick blip of the throttle and Cel turns back off. Worked at it for about 2 hours last night before I had to call it. I checked for burnt connections and loose wires to no avail, so I got a new one sitting on the bench.
Re: Passenger Side O2 removal
It has been so long since I have had to touch the car with stock exhaust. Can you snap a picture?
If I recall, the O2 is pointing up towards the firewall on the top side of the pipe. I think I set the wrench on the O2, then put a 1' 2x4 going up to the wrench to smack with a hammer.

Nice. O2 sensors tend to need some muscle to get out after they have been there for awhile. Headers make getting to the O2 sensors much easier, but make heat shielding everything much harder.
