Passenger Carpet Wet?

I was running some stereo wires under the carpet on the passenger seat. When i lift up the carpet, the foam under the carpet was soaked!! Could this be the AC problem that some people encountered? Or could there be water leaking in from when it rains. I havent checked the drivers carpet but i hope i dont find it wet when i check it

Does it smell like coolant at all? Could be your heater box going, I have been there and it is not pretty. If you turn on defrost, do you steam up?

It may be coming from the t-tops/door. Mine leaks into the back on the drivers side! I would think it would smell like coolant if it was coming from your heater core.

I'd lean towards the heater core.

There is a balck plastic cover covering the firewall, the water seems coming from there. Where is the heater core?

when the heater core goes, typically the steam that hits the window is VERY difficult to get off and makes it halfway impossible to keep the window defrosted. Wipe the window down with a clean paper towel - if it smells like coolant you have heater core issues
