buy the Taylor 409's that are 11mm, and run them over the valve covers, summit will sell you the wires and the wire lumes, and also buy earls flame gaurd so that they dont burn on the header, and dont forget the dielectric grease. Oh, and change you exhaust gaskets.

Assuming you have aftermarket 8 or 8.5 mm wires, I used a set of Moroso looms (same as M4U or MSD looms) and put a 4 hole one right off the alt. bracket. This keeps them arranged inline to keep them away from the serpentine belt. Also I took my Dremel to the alt. bracket and removed a little material where the curved indentation is and rounded the edge to make the wires sit in place better.

Where wires touch you would rather have them at an angle to each other, not running parallel.

not from what I have heard. I asked thie question not too long ago, and the responses I got indicated that wires running next to each other doesn't cause the crossfiring it used to with old technology wires. The stock wires were run like that in some places too

"touching wires are VERY BAD!"

we get your point...

my question is why does the factory run the wires parralell to each other? granted the factory isn't known for their 100%, flawless inteligance...but...if it's such a BAD thing...and so commonly know i doubt they would do it.

If you are getting me, then why do you keep NOT getting me. The factory wires DO NOT TOUCH. They run in their own little track, they do run parallel, but the wires install by the factory, never touch. There is nothing wrong with Parallel wires as long as they dont touch. And all that BS about wires cross firing being only on old cars, is total crap, i have had it happen to me and many other guys i know using all sorts of different wires from MSD to Accel, the only wires i have NEVER seen arch on each other after much use, are the taylor 409's. But i cant talk to much, i run the MSD's even though they keep arching on me, i for some reason keep hoping they wont, but they always do. I hope this helps.
