Light show under hood

Alright, I went with MAC headers last week and also put on the taylor OVC wires, but I left my coil wire on as I just changed it like....three weeks ago to the coil wire that came with my old set (Moroso 8mm blue wires). I guess I never changed the coil wire. Heh.

anyway, tonight I opened my hood to pour some water on the headers to see which cylinder isn't firing, and i keep hearing a snap zap snap zap sound, and i look around and see it's coming from where the coil connects to the opti. Why would it be sparking there? The wire is kinda "arched" but it's arched in the same way the old coil wire was, and also the snap-zap-spark is coming from where the wire connects to the opti.

thats the highest power output right there. Before it gets weakened by everything else in the opti and plug wire runs. Plus alot of metal right there

soooo.........?

I never saw it spark around there before...what gives? I think one of my plug wires might be loose off, I'm gonna go check in a few mins. If one of the connections wasn't making contact, would that cause that?

You don't have a good connection and the spark energy is arcing to ground (path of least resistance). Check your wire and terminals on coil and opti.
If you are losing spark energy at the coil wire, voltage at all your plugs will not be as good as it should be.
