Parts list (thoughts/comments/suggestions)

Greetings friends,

Ordering time is coming soon for all the misc. parts I need to complete my LE2 head/cam swap in my 1995 Z28 m6. I get a little paranoid about getting all the right parts so I compiled a list. If anyone sees anything wrong or a questionable brand, please speak up! Also if you see a choice where I could save some money, let me know

What I have so far:
LE2 Heads (with valves and springs)
LE2 Custom Cam (226/230 .565/.565 111 LSA)
Ported Stock Manifold (58mm)
Used 58mm BBK TB
Racetronix 37 lb fuel injectors
New NGK sparkplugs TR55s
New MSD plug wires
Used LT Pacesetters w/o emmissions (didnt come with gasket/bolts)
Used ORY pipe
Ebay aluminum valve covers

Heres what I need input on:

Head Fasteners (same as regular small block chevy right?)
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ARP-134-3601/

Rocker Arm Studs (LE told me to use 7100, but I couldnt find that #)
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ARP-134-7101/

Timing Chain (didnt want to do any clearancing so I chose single > double)
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CLO-9-3157/

Water Pump
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CSI-901LT1/

Water Pump Relay (read somewhere that this is great for electric water pumps)
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PRF-50106/

Intake Manifold Gasket (Felpro a good brand?)
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FEL-MS95580/

160 degree Thermostat
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HYP-1008/

Head Gasket
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MRG-5716/

LT4 KM
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ACF-16214681/

Coil (Might as well since Im in there right )
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MSD-8226/

Coil harness (Also running an MSD 6A, I was told this helps add the coil above)
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MSD-8876/

Valve Cover Gasket (Is there a better aftermarket brand?)
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FEL-VS50088R/

Header Gasket
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PHP-66031/

Rocker Arms (LE recommended these so Im sure they are right)
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PRO-66915/

Header Bolts (I saw these in 2 different sizes .75 or 1 inch, dunno which to get)
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/STG-8911A/

Pushrods (LE recommended these so Im sure they are right)
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TFS-21407100/

o2 Extenders (12 in flat right?)
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CEI-109010/

Timing Cover Gasket
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FEL-TCS45956/

Anyone see anything missing? Someone told me oil pan gasket, but I wasnt sure?

The only other things I can think of are a tune and an egr block off set.

Thanks in advance guys for any help

I'd run at least one step colder on the plugs. TR55's are stock heat range.

Well the plugs are kind of a sunk cost, will there be a considerable difference? I could probably budget it in if not too expensive. Is there a specific colder plug you would recomend?

Thoughts on the other stuff?

So you're saying you already have those parts, and are going to use them no matter what feedback you get? Not sure why you asked the question.

if you cant budget in plugs you may want to re think things. Unexpected costs are going to come up all the time. I would plan a misc. category in your build with atleast $400-500bucks.

NGK stock # 4177 , TR6, is 1 heat range colder... But you have to reset the gap...

Invest in a pushrod length checker before you spend money on pushrods. It's a few extra bucks, but well worth the expense.

Only thing I see missing is the seals for the steam tube banjo bolts. You'll probably have to get them from GM though.

I say leave the TR55's especially since I didn't see anything saying a power adder is being used. You should be fine with the 55's IMO

I asked the question because I dont know the answer and I value your feedback. Some people say they are fine, other say go colder, I just want to get as many opinions as possible. Since I already have these, obviously it would be better budget wise to use them if possible, but if going colder is absolutely 100% necesiary then I will switch.

you can pick a Cloyes heavy duty timing set for about 60 bucks brand new from summit IIRC. I like mine, works just fine, won't break and is very very cheap.

The TR55's will be fine. I went with TR6's but I am going to be spraying it this year. If you're running it NA all the way then you will be fine with what you have.

The need for colder plugs is not limited to "power adder" situations. As power levels go up - even normally aspirated - the combustion chamber temperatures rise. You want the plug to stay hot enough to avoid fouling and cold enough to avoid premature erosion. At 450-500HP at the flywheel, I'd recommend 1 step colder.

Maybe he should just call Loyd and get his recommendation. I've always gone off the manufacturer recommendation when choosing plugs and gap. Since Loyd knows his heads he'd probably be the best place to get that answer.....

Last I checked plugs where 2 bucks a pop vs. built lt-1 at 1500+... You could probably return those plugs at any store with no proof of purchase...
