LOFL! You've been banned. I was at Mike's shop a few days ago and he was trying to call you to come in so that I could get a test drive in your car but he said you were just getting out of bed (it was like 1:30 pm) . What is it like driving her on the road and in traffic? How 'bout this wet *** weather?!!

The car is basically worthless in the wet LOL. 2500rpm 1/16th throttle shifts, just puttin it around. When the roads are dry though its not bad at all to drive. I might have gone with a different clutch if i had to do it over, like a street twin but i just couldnt afford it at the time. Other then that its cool, a real pleasure to drive, it idles like a classic built muscle car so it gets lots of looks, and its the quickest car ive ever driven :-)

Were gonna put it back up on the dyno some time soon to try and find more power :-D

Fortunately I own a home with no homeowner's association, and I've always said if a neighbor complains to my car I'd tell them they can start bitching as soon as they start paying my mortgage

Now you will have to drive really fast down your street in neutral to keep the noise down. Although then you'll get another letter saying you drive too fast.....

Yeah. California really sucks in a lot of respects for a car guy. Unless you are a fan of high dollar exotics and you have more money then you know what to do with. I mean we have to deal with smogg crap, and housing prices are out of control, and theres this wicked crack down on street racing. Just lame. But atleast we got our sweeta$$ weather (its been raining on and off for the past 3 weeks). Fortunately I found haddad motorsports so atleast i have a good shop to go to.

I like musclecars too, but not in the middle of the night when I'm sleeping. A neighbor back behind us just got a late 80's Mustang and it has some obnoxious FLowmaster exhaust. My 96 SS with Pacesetter longtubes, dual 3" cats and SLP 2OTL is actually very quiet. I would get pissed off too if somebody kept coming in late with a loud obnoxious car. Once the weather warms up and we have the windows open at night, this kid behind us better not be coming home too late making noise. There's no reason for a car to be that loud and obnoxious and other people shouldn't have to suffer for it. Do you have dual cats on your car? If not, running around with loud exhaust and no cats is just asking to have your car taken away for breaking the law.

I have no cats. It is risky I know. However, i dont drive the car daily, its more of just a hobby kind of thing, which also means that i dont start it up daily, matter of fact i havent driven it in almost 2 weeks. When i first got the car out of the shop i drove it every day for breakin, i guess thats what pissed the neighbors off. Only thing though i never did it later then 10pm, which is when the noise ordinance goes into affect around here. So technically i didnt do anything wrong (legaly i should say, besides the cats of course ;-) in any case i now park the car on the street so its not a problem at all. My yuppy neighbors can have their peace and quiet. Man i wish i owned a home (generally if you can own a home in california you can afford the turbo porsche or ferrari that goes fast without making the noise anyway) because i love to have loud muscle cars.

You park your car on the street rather than in a garage just because someone complains about the noise? So now it'll always be dirty, the paint is going to take a lot of abuse, and it could get stolen.

Why don't you just drive at about 1100rpm when you're in the neighborhood?
