Pacesetter LT Install Help!!!!!!
Re: Pacesetter LT Install Help!!!!!!
The number 2 primary hitting the A/C line appears to be a common problem with the Pacesetter LTs. I heated up the line with a propane torch and smacked it with a rubber mallet. It bends very easily and you only have to bend it a couple of inches.

Re: Pacesetter LT Install Help!!!!!!
I am about to install mine in a few weeks.
With the allignment problems did you guys also replace the motor mounts?
The fittings are hard to screw into the headers I think is what I'm hearing. Is it the thickness of the paint or coating that is making it difficult to thread? Perhaps a tap to clean the paint/ coating off the threads?
Just questions and ideas.

Re: Pacesetter LT Install Help!!!!!!
Mine wasn't an issue with the coating. Mine turned fine, with effort though, until a certain point and at that point it still wasn't tight enough to keep the air pipe from spinning. I think i may just go have the pipe welded to the nut so it spins at the same time and it wouldn't matter if it wasn't completely seated against the inside of the air pipe. I hope they're weldable. Does anyone know? I'm gonna clean them up, get the grease off them and bring it to an exhaust shop tomorrow.
Re: Pacesetter LT Install Help!!!!!!
I put pacesetters in my buddys 95 and my 96 I had no problems at all. If any of you are looking to plug the air fittings buy two oil pan drain plugs off a cummins diesel truck I am thinking it is a 23mm but not positive. I bought them at autozone.
Re: Pacesetter LT Install Help!!!!!!
I just bought 22m x 1.5 and it worked fine. I don't know what to do with the rest of the air system? I thought about just pulling the fuse/relay for it, would that stop the pump?
Also, my y-pipe in no way imaginable will fit over or in my catback. I have a 3" hooker cat back, and there is NO way, they are the same size. The end thats supposed to fit in, the rear of the y-pipe, doesn't have a flare. Is this normal?
