ok after my long trip back to ill for the holidays my car was running like crap my codes found were p0420, now my question is could p0420 cause the car to run like crap, bog and hesitate, Basically acting like the opti is bad?? the opti is fine BTW would p0420 code cause this?? and if i remove the cats how can i get rid of that code??

 

po420 im almost sure is a catylist code

could be 02 sensors catalytic converters or ecu issue relating to the catylists

if its running like **** i would guess a clogged cat...i dont thing the o2 would cause it to run bad...

i know po420 is catylist code for nissan on the cunsult computer...and i pretty sure codes are universal to all makes.....but ive been wrong before...guess i could be again...lol

 

yeah it's a cat code, but the car only runs like crap everyonce in a while not all the time and i did a search on this board and no one ever mentioned of performance of there car going down because of the code so im not sure if theres something im missing... the car has 80k on the clock..
