P0200

My car is throwing a P0200 code which says, "injector circuit open." I have a dead miss. I didn't have time to check out too much, but I did check to see that all the fuel injectors were plugged in. Any ideas? Thanks!

Re: P0200

One of the injectors has a problem. Your scanner should be able to tell you wich cylinder is misfiring, if it can read "enhanced parameters". When you find out what injector it is:

-check the pink wire for +12V
-check the injector for 12-15ohms on the coil
-verify you are getting a ground from the PCM (use a 'noid light)

If you can't scan, pull the injector connector off one at a time... the one that doesn't make the engine worse is the one that's missing. Or use a set of noid lights to track down which one it it. Then test as noted above.

When I find out which one it is, will I have to replace it or is there something I can do to fix it? Also if I replace it, should I replace 1 or all 8. And which brand.

Re: P0200

If the injector coil is bad, you'll have to replace the injector. Unless you want to replace all 8 ($250 for a set of SVO or FMS injectors), just find someone with a spare used stocker.
