oxygen sensor questions

i just installed my 1 wire o2 sensors on my 94 Z and did a test drive. there are no check engine lights but it still stays in open loop.

im guessing its probably because of the heater curcuit being open open so i guess my question is. What size resistor should i put in the heater curcuit. or would that fix it. the sensor reads fine according to my a/f guage and take virtually no time to heat up enough for a clean signal.

i just need to figure out what to do to make the computer think the heaters are still hooked up.

Re: oxygen sensor questions

Just curious, but why did you "step down" to a single wire O2 from a heated one??

From what I've seen, even if the O2's are showing that they're hot enough, they may not be. I can sit with my car at idle and watch them bounce around (and I swapped to the heated ones) at open loop idle, but they wont get hot enough to push the car to closed loop until I start driving it.

Re: oxygen sensor questions

cause money is real tight right now, and i had two new 1wire's layin in the shop.

93's had 1wire's in the same place and had no problems whatsoever.

i just need to know how to make the computer think the heater curcuit is still in operation.

P.S. the passenger side was a P.I.T.M.F.A to change.
