Overheating questions?
Overheating questions?
My car drove fine for over a year, never once getting over the first mark on the temp gauge. I drove my car in stop and go with the AC blasting in 100+ degree temps and hardly budged the needle. Well, last week, my tranny took another dump and I had it rebuilt. The only change made was going back to a stock type 2000 stall. Now, my car will start to overheat when I am driving. It will get up to and beyond the halfway mark, but only while moving. Once I come to a stop (at a light, etc) the temp will start to go down. Is it possible there is something with the tranny rebuild that is casuing this? I've checked the thermo and it is opening and closing, flushed the water, etc. the only thing and don't know about is if the water pump is working. There are no leaks from the weep hole or anything. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Kyle
