Overheating Problems

I have a buddy with a 96 WS6. He installed some Jethot LT's back in November and his car started running really warm after it happened. He then continued to drive the car with the needle nearly at the red for about 6 months before decided to do something about it (after I have been nagging him the whole time to do it). Well now the waterpump, thermo, radiator have all been changed (told him NOT to do that, but didn't listen again). Still runs hot. The system is not holding pressure. I told him one of his HG's or both are done for, or he could have warped a head driving the car for such a long time at such high temps. What do you guys think? Discuss.

did he bleed the system correctly?

did he put the right thermostat in it?

are the fans coming on?

is there a manual switch or programing for lower fan turn on temp?

if it;s not making pressure then I doubt it;s a head gasket, that will usualy create a ton of pressure. have you considered a new radiator cap? lots of questions in stead of answers but we need to rule out the simple stuff and geta better feel for everything. I would pay close attention to the fans.

ok. and your sure that there isn;t a leak anywhere? your not losing coolant and it's not showing up in the oil? so siting there at idle with the fans running it will still get really high? have you compared the temp sensor reading to the gauge reading? maybe it;s fine and just showing hot on the gauge

lol. instead of driving it to the lake drive it to my house and sign it over to me

if you do think it;s the heads you can pick up a "block test kit" from NAPA that wil test for exhaust gasses in the cooling system
