Stock fans come on at 226º. Secondary or high speed fans come on at 235º. You are still within normal operating temps at this point.

You MUST have the air deflector on your car or it will overheat when you are driving. Also make sure you have all the air bled out. That is what usually makes the temp gauge go way up when you first warm the car after filling the cooling system back up.

hey shoebox if i cut a piece of my air deflector off for a ram air will i overheat.

I know a lot of people seem to think 220-240* is normal operating temp for these cars but in my opinion it's hotter than I want to run. You can tell how sluggish the car gets at these temps, I prefer to keep mine rinning under 190. The only reason the factory has them running this hot is for smog, Too cool is not great for optimum power but neither is to hot like 220* and above.
