Question overheating problem

ok,Ive been having an overheating problem which I traced to a bad heater core.Coolant was coming out on the floorboard so I decied to bypass it instead of replacing. It solved the water leak but thats it.I also just put a new 180 thermostat in,and fresh coolant. It gets up in the 260 geg area pretty fast. Also, both fans are turning on.What else could it be?Do u think waterpump?I dont see any water coming out of it though.or could it have something to do with bypassing the heater core?what do u guys think?Thanx

Re: overheating problem

If you didnt bleed the system, you need to.Look on Shoebox's site.It should be covered there.
