Over or under?? That is the question

I need to change my plug wires, , , I only got one season out of my taylor 8mm and I need to know what's gonna last the longest, The stock location (Which I have now) or use centerbolt guides and run them above. Or just switch back to stock (Lasted the longest) also I have a MSD 6A with the stock coil, and was wondering if I should Upgrade the Coil

I'm surprised they only lasted one season. Did they burn up?

I'd say run them over the top. Less chances to burn one and you definitely get some separation from the heat going over the top rather than under.

I have Taylors that are run under right now, and when I replace them, I'm going over the covers.

I bought an over the top universal set of MSD wires for use on '94 with SLP headers.

I've routed them in a manner that makes most sense in that a few wires go from below - cyl # 1 & 3 and the balance go from above.

On my previous setup with mac headers I went in stock locations and had problems with wire#6

The downside of the stock locations is that it's harder to replace wires if necessary.

From what I've read a lot of aftermarket coils fail prematurely - I picked one up and am using it but I also heald on to the stocker as a back up.

Hope this helps

Go over the top, you'll be glad you did.

I would love to see some wire routes of some over the cover wires so I can get some ideas. Anyone have some links or pics lying around they can peek to me..?
