OVC wires

I tried putting the taylor OVC wires on and man they where a pain. The worst part is that I can not get them to snap into the opti. Has anybody had a problem with them or is there a better brand to run OVC. I have Hooker LT's and burned threw a wire in 20 minutes that was not ran OVC. Man these are a pain in the but. I just cant figure out why they wont snap.

Hmmm, mine were hassle free. Just make sure you're lining them up straight, and push straight down on them. They should just snap right in.

I ran into the same problem you did, I used a pair of needlenose pliers and grabbed the wire right behind the boot, then pushed it on the opti like that.

Ditto like magius said i would use your hands though. I would be careful when putting them on. Also make sure the connector from the old wire is not stuck in the opti preventing the other one from going in. HTH

I did the same thing. No matter how hard I pushed, there is no room (especially passenger side) to really get a good grip/push on the opti-end boots without the needlenose pliers.

Mine were tremendously easy. Wires went into the opti without a problem and I havent even come close to burning a wire yet. I love my Taylors. I took the tensioner off for the pass. side of the opti though....its 2 10mm (I think) bolts and took 1 min to take off then put back on plus it was worth it for the space to work with. Saved a lot of hassle.

Instead of doing that you can take the middle bolt out which is a 13mm bolt is alot eaiser then
