how much for just the xe 224/230 cam with springs??

Damn, i should have gotten this kit before the hotcam kit - one of the biggest factors for choosing the hotcam was that everything came in a cheap kit... d'oh!

Speaking to Seth at CM a while ago on the phone, this is exactly why they are offering the kits-to give more and better choices and to make it easier for the purchaser. That makes it pretty nice.

Guys this is an incredible offer. I'm not sure I can make the March 12th deadline to get the pushrods, but you WILL be getting my business on more than likely a 224/230 grind kit.

We can get that on a 112 LSA grind right? You have thoroughly convinced me against the hotcam kit now

This is a great deal. I will probably be ordering a XE 224/230 kit with an LT1 stock timing chain for $25.

Combination Motorsports is great to deal with, you guys should not hesitate to jump on this deal

Free pushrods don't hurt, eiter!

Wow thats a great price, defiently a good idea if your looking for something bigger than a hotcam but don't want to put a lot of extra money to piece everything together yourself.

How much for just the springs and accessories?

CM611 Valve Springs
CM126 Chromoly Retainers
CM007 7 Degree Hardened Locks

I already have the 1305 Comp 1.6RRs sitting here, just worried about the stock springs and their limits. Your springs sound perfect though. I'd love to do a cam swap, but can't right now.

The CM611 spring kit by itself is $84.95. Hope this helps.

What is the difference between the CM618 springs I got on my heads right now and the CM612 springs?

Also, do you think I made a mistake by going with the XE 224/230 with heads that flow 271 cfm at .6?

lift--- ------ Intake ----- Exhaust
0.050 ------ 36.5 ------- 23.9
0.100 ------ 62.9 ------- 48.1
0.150 ------ 93.3 ------- 71
0.200 ------ 131.7 ------ 90.5
0.250 ------ 163.1 ------ 113.6
0.300 ------ 185.6 ------ 126.2
0.350 ------ 215.7 ------ 137.8
0.400 ------ 234.5 ------ 149
0.450 ------ 248.7 ------ 163.6
0.500 ------ 257.7 ------ 172.5
0.550 ------ 265.1 ------ 181.6
0.600 ------ 270.1 ------ 184.7
0.650 ------ 271 -------- 186
0.700 ------ ---- -------- 186.4

Who are these guys?
anyone ever head of them?
they any good?

Rod-
your cam is matched nicely-
your flow begins to taper off around .550 anyway
from .450 to .500 you gain 9 cfm
from .500 to .550 you gain 7.4cfm
from .550 to .600 you gain only 5 cfm

do the same for your exhuast

~9, ~9, ~3

I have to deal with emissions and would like to know which cam kit will pass emissions with just a basic tune, from say PCMforless? Not a specific tune in order to pass emissions. I want daily driven, hassle free emissions, power. By the way the kits and the prices are great!!!

seth is a busy man-
someone has to tell them what to get for dinner or else they will all be doomed to eat little ceasars for the rest of their days
