OTVC plug wires?

I need to get some otvc plug wires for my 95 Z. I had the taylor wires that you have to make yourself and didn't like them. Has anyone heard anything about elitesparkplugs.com's wires. And whats up with their site, it says on there...."elitesparkplugs.com is not open for business. Ordering is done for testing purposes only" Has anyone bought anything form there recently?

Thanks
Brent

Do a search, Elite has been in the "doghouse" lately. There customer service needs serious improvement. Frankly, I don't know why they even post up a phone number considering they never answer it.

Re: OTVC plug wires?

I have around 1000miles on my elite plug wires. Car ran good for about 1 day with them, then I find the coil wire was arking against the water pump. Put on my old one and everything works good again. Then my car runs like crap, find plug wire #5 arking against something. Then another started to ark Neeless to say I have a Taylor OTVC kit sitting beside me waiting to go on. I will NEVER buy elite wires again.

From what I have found out the 8mm Elite wires are the problematic wires. The 9mm dont appear to have the problems of the 8mm.

Re: OTVC plug wires?

I had a hard time putting the boots on the taylor wires. The holes were too small for the wire to fit in. Also, the metal things that you crimp to the wires kept coming off when I would pull the wires out of the opti. Did anyone else have these problems? Maybe I did something wrong?

This could be true. I'm using the 8mm red ones currently. Anyone want a set of slightly used 8mm wires? $20 + shipping and there yours!

Brent95Z: I've did alot of reading on those opti ends and everyone says some lube will help!
