Jared usually when you buy a bare head they are ready to assemble , all you need is parts.. That way you can build them the way you want....

Heads are typically offered in a variety of different ways. You may be able to buy anything from a raw casting to a ready to bolt on complete assembly. Call AFR to be sure you are getting what you need.

Usually bare means right out of the casting. You'll need to port them or they will suck big time.

Thanks guys. I know they are going to need porting/polishing.

Bare would be with no CNC work. The general shape is there, but it isn't worth a ****.

man let me tell you I bought a set of AFR 190's Bare thinking all Id have to do is install vavles springs and such and get them ported of course.

What I got was a AFR 190 that came in a 160CC runner with a barely cut runner at that it was ****ty and I mean ****ty My porter had to actually design the runner on the head and remove 35cc of the runner he was pissed at all the work he had to do. spend the extra money to have the runners atleast run though by AFR
