Optispark Torx Bits???

Do any of you guys know what size torx bit I need to attach the rotor to the opti. It is a small little bastard, that for sure. I heard that it is a #8, is that right? So does that make it a T-8, since that seems to be how the sizes are listed? I know the throttle body screw will work for the inverted screws, so that isn't a problem. Also, will the local hardware store or sears carry the bit I need? Thanks

Inverse Torx Bit - E4. If you can find a SnapOn truck, it is SnapOn part number STLE40 for a deep well version.

or a ghetto way to make it work is this. Remove one screw from
the throttle body top plate. Use a pair of vise-grips to hold the screw and it will remove those pesky screws in your opti-crap.

No, I got that one, I am talking about the regular torx bit for the two screws that hold the rotor itself on. I got the four that hold everything together. Any idea what size that one is.

Sorry, I tried to make it clear that I already got that one, but I guess I didn't. Thanks guys

Not your fault. I read it too fast. I don't know that one.

Lol, I kinda figured that would happen, since that question comes up like once a day. Tomorrow I am going to sears, so I will post what size it is for other people doing the same thing. I am just hoping this opti solves my problem.

Does Autozone sell just the waterpump gaskets? I know they come with the pump, so I don't think they sell them seperately. I am probably just gonna get another water pump though, even though this one is a week old, I have a lifetime warranty so I might as well use it everytime I can. Actually, it is so new, I can probably just reuse the gaskets.

I don't know, I think it is smaller than a 10. A ten is pretty common, so I think that is what I tried today, and it was too big. We will know tomorrow though. Time for me to get some snap on tools

It's a T9 [tho a T8 might work if it isn't too tight]

Just want to clarify that while a T8 works OK[slightly loose] it is actually a T9...
