Post OPTI/timing install questions

Ok, I've got my car torn apart to fix an oil leak at the front timing cover. Now that I've got the cover off I'm thinking I want to replace my timing chain as well, since i'm already their. Now if I do to time the cam and crank I need to align the dots on both sprockets, and when i do that all my previous markings for where the Optispark was set will be off. So how do I retime the motor? I don't want to have to reinstall everything, then set it at #1 at TDC, it can't be that hard and I'm sure I can figure it out because I do it all day on other cars for work. BUT I want some outside help from someone that has actually done this before I dive into it. I don't know, for some reason I get really picky when it comes to working on my car even though I repair other peoples' day in and day out. Thanks

Align the dots for your timing set and install it. When you go to install the opti, it does not matter what position the the cam dowel is in, as long as you install the opti's special slot over it.

If you end up with the dots still together when it is time to put the opti on, you can "dial" the opti drive to "6" (see reference in link above) and put it on. When the dots are together #6 is at TDC.
