OPTI question for OBD2-OBD1

I am doing an OBD1 conversion on a 97 LT1, what do I have to do to connect the opti to the 94 harness? is there an adapter or something?

Thanks,

Joel

no adaptors, you just swap the whole computer. everything plugs up normally, the two computers even look the same

the computer is located at the back of the engine compartent on the passenger side.
it has 4 connectors they are all color coded, you simply unplug the connectors from you PCM, and plug into the new PCM. very simple should not take over 10 minutes....

there is no special adaptors you need.
trust me, i have the OBD1 conversion in my 96

who told you that you needed a "special" adaptor?
dont believe everything ppl say.....

There is a difference in the harness for the opti. Not sure what all you are changing, but just keep the opti harness that goes with the opti that you are using.

I swapped from a 93 to a 95 OPTI (basicly what you are doing) and the small harness fron the connector on the pass side of the intake down to the opti has a different connector on the opti end, but on the wiring harness end it is the same. I simply went to my Local GM dealer and told them what I wanted, we looked at the breakdown and ordered the part new. It was a little ober 20$ for it.
As far as just the PCM then its pretty much a plug in.
