opti question

I have my 96z tore down it has the old style opti on it, but I have a new style opti to go on it. The question is the new style is different on the back side that goes to the block. Wondering what I would have to do to make the new style opti work with my setup.

Re: opti question

I thought starting in '95 they all had the vented opti setup? Regardless, here's a link on what you need.

Re: opti question

Another option is to use an MSD cap and rotor with the spline-drive opti. It comes with a vented cap.

Someone did some swapping (probably engine) if it has a spline drive opti. There is also no way it could have a crank position sensor, since a timing cover for the spline drive opti had no provision for one.
