opti install

I have a 1994 LT1, but I have just finish building a nasty 355. It has all the upgrades like, 95 vented opit, cover etc. I noticed that when I was install the 95opti that is was very hard to go into the cover(95cover). I lined up the dowelpin and tried to push it in. It feels like I am going to break the thing. Any info?

Thanks Mark Tisdale

Re: opti install

Did you check the dowel pin length and does the cam have the correct drilling in the nose for the vented opti?

Re: opti install

Check what shoe said.

With that being said, mine was a real PITA too. Im not sure what was causing it, but finally i hit the right angle and it just snapped on perfectly. Dont force it. Just take it off and keep trying to put it back on.

Re: opti install

Yea, I am going to try that. It is an aftermarket ground cam but, it was on another car that had the 95opti etc and it worked. I will just have to be patient.

Thanks Guys
