opinions on pistons

opinions on pistons

i am currently building a shortblock and wanted anyones opinion on Speed Pro Power Forged pistons..kinda money tight so i cant afford JE or SRP>>also any sbc 350 piston will work correct? nothing special about the lt1 as far as pistons...right?

Right. Observe compression height and rod length/stroke and all that. Look at the Mahle Power Pack pistons too - they come with wrist pins and file-fit rings at a decent price and are better than SRP. They are a higher silicone forged piston like SRP but they are a good strong piston without sacrificing piston-to-wall clearances for a street car.

It's a 57 more or less - earlier wishbone frame maybe 55 - 84" S&S with S&S super carb, Joe Hunt mag, belt primary, fat bob chopper with std length wide glide...
