Oops, I snapped the knock sensor wire

I tune out a lot of false knock with LT1 Edit, so an thinking of leaving the wire in it's snapped condition. If I do this, will the computer go into some kind of default mode, trip out, and start pulling out lots of timing?

I believe you will have a constant SES light. I would at least want some sort of knock protection but thats just me.

I think you will want it hooked up too the ses light would get on my nerves
the dealer ship sells a piggy back wire so you dont have to repace the entire sensor or you can try your luck with splicing the two ends together.

It will give a code and pull timing to protect the engine, since it cannot monitor for knock.

If I get a piggyback harness, won't I have to splice the wires anyways?
