Does anyone run cats?

I've been searching every thread I can find on some bullets, and everything I see it seems like the car is running without cats on it.

Now I live in CA so I would think that not having cats isn't even an option with all the smog restrictions and the **** cops and what not. But it looks like there are quite a few people from cali that don't have cats on their cars. What does everyone do when it comes time to pass smog?

Have a spare y-pipe handy so when it's time for smog you'll be ready.

I run cats, and my car runs pretty good too!

i was gonna run an ORY, but i realize that i daily drive my car, so it'd just draw unnecessary attention to it... and then penalty in NJ for no cats is QUITE serious IIRC... somewhere to the tune of $1000 fine? someone correct me if i'm wrong

I have hooker full lenghts, and I run Randon Tech bullets convertors. Its a tight fit, but it can be done.

Re: Does anyone run cats?

I was running a Random Tech cat with my 224/230 setup, and once I get this Joe O setup tuned in guess what? My cat is going back on.

I just don't see a huge reason not to. A good aftermarket cat isn't going to cost you 50 HP.

I run dual cats and doubt that it's very much of a performance hit.
Maybe 5 rwhp, plus you've got to have them in the socialist republic
of California. Here is a pic of my dual cats.
