Only Got 14.1 in 1/4 mile...dissapointed
Yeah. first hour is 150.. then 125 every hour after that.
I called them with no avail..
hopefully they respond to my e-mails.
Powertrain Dynamics
We'll see....
Bryan says that my car should be in the high 12's low 13's with better 60' times...
I agree.. i had ZERO traction at the track.
Some guys have 12's with just bolt-ons...
Shouldn't I be killing them ??

By the sounds of it you need a good tune up by a pro! but it sounds like you have the stuff to do it but you need a bigger stall convertor unless you cam kicks in at about the 2200rpm-2400rpm read your cam card to see and if you dont know go get it dynod i have a comp cam with 510 lift on intake and exhaust 112 degree remachined headers throttle body ported to match the intake valves springs retianers . 12.5 @ 115 mph with good year F1 tires also get a panhard bar the sock one is okay but they are not adjustable like the after markest are no drilling required to do install. get a 3500 stall convertor will help out alot had same problem before i only installed a 2400 in my 700R-4E (4L60E)

robb4964 Yeah Ive been to edgewater before and used to be on GCFBA but I left the group for my own reasons.
Anyway I would say take it to someone else who knows what they are doing. First off it will help but if its still running slow after the valves are timed correctly you may want to check the timing chain on it again to make sure that it is exactly in line. One tooth off will make one HELL of a difference just ask altjar. He had the same problem and was running low 14s I believe and got it fixed. Now hes running High 11s.
If that guy cant time valves than he might not be able to line a timing chain up correctly either.
hope this helps somemore.

I would fix the car before going to the dyno and wasting your money. Your not going to dyno very much and once it is there your not really going to be able to make very many changes besides tuning. I really doubt the problem is in the tuning. Pull the timing cover off and make sure the dots are lined up. It doesn't sound like your mechanic had a clue how to adjust the rockers, so he may have put the cam in wrong as well. If those things are right then i would replace the opti and probably the coil as well. Go to a completely dark area and run the car to look for sparks from plug wires.
When My swap was done, my car was running 15.8 and that´s really really bad..
then We found that the injector #1 was not working, but the car always had a good sound, as i could never find which pin at the PCM controls it, just bridge from #2 and now runs 13.60
unplug the harness of every injector one at a time (with the car at idle), if nothing happens on one, there is your problem. (injector or spark plug or something in there)
and yes, your tires can drop your times drastically on a bad track.. as I said, my time now is 13.60 on hard slicks but running nittos 450 take it to 16.00...
my $0.02

Dude i have the exact same problem.....sounds almost identical. The best i could run the other day was a 14.4 with 2.350 60's. That's with the mods in the sig......like 50 degrees out too. I was trapping 98mph.......this car has only traped 100mph once when i had just put the intake on. People have told me something is wrong from the beginning and i don't know what it is. If you find out what is wrong with yours send me an Private message--I would really like to know if you figure it out. My elevation is like 75 ft above sea level too.
My car does that popping sound too, figured it was just backpressure. Only does it on free revs usually. I get black splatters all over the rear of my car......and tips should i get a tune from PCM4Less of MadZ??? What would be a safe A/F ratio?
Yeah like others have said....check your valve lash. If thats set right your timing chain could very well be off a tooth. Someone else mentioned a possible knock problem retarding timing....very possible. You need to get a log of the car to really see whats going on, but I would deffently check the lash and timing.
Yeah, you absolutely need to get an LT-4 knock module if you don't have one already. I drove my car with the new motor for two weeks without one, and I swear Installing that module added 50 H.P. and TONS of driveability. Even before the headers and cam the Tech 2 was showing 10+ degrees of knock retard. Get one!
I think your car must be down a 100 hp or something.I ran 14.07 at 100.9mph with a 2.35 60ft in my 80 ta.Its got maybe 300 hp at the engine.Heck my stock 96 could likely run 14.3 at 100 or so pretty easily too with a 2.35.And I am at 1900 feet above sea level.
If you are at high altitude that could expain your times or have you figured out your problem ??

Ouch...
My car weighed 3543 with me and fuel.. I had a 165lb passenger and ran 14.3 @ 103mph 2.6 60ft.... Then a few off passes 14.2 @ 102mph 2.4 60ft, etc...No traction, however my mph was higher than what you guys are seeing
Something just isnt right! Any updates?
