Which one Stroker or Procharger
Re: Which one Stroker or Procharger
The Procharger will be the easiest to install and most likely yield more power. Depending how much boost you want to run will determine how long your stock shortblock will last though.
Re: Which one Stroker or Procharger
Procharger by far has the most potential, but you will need to step up on your shortblock to handle the boost once your stock one takes a crap. If you leave it around 4-6 psi you'll be fine for a while but once you start swapping pullies you're on borrowed time.
Re: Which one Stroker or Procharger
why not go with some new 030 pistons...and procharge
. that way you get the best bang for the bucks.
if you charge a stock high mileage motor you're likely to blow something, but...if it were one or the other i'd do the procharger over anything else just because it's easier and less time consuming. if i had the 4 grand i'd go that route.

Re: Which one Stroker or Procharger
why not a 383 and a supercharger. or even a turbo and 383. im doing a 383 now and plan on adding a turbo or super charger later. if you want to do a 383 the right way you still want to forge everything anyway, so it would be set up for a super/turbo charger. just keep the cr lower. thats why i went with the 383 first, then everything is set up for my charger later, and i dont have to worry about my high mileage engine.

Re: Which one Stroker or Procharger
I suggest a 0.030 overbore, forged pistons (bump the CR), refresh the bottom end with clevite bearings, a off-the shelf cam kit with a good nitrous cam, LT's, and a hidden wet 175 shot....
That shouldn't break the bank too much, will be ok for street driving and will win you quite a few street races
