It's probably a Fel-Pro gasket. I have no idea what its for and its not on my list. Just making sure I wasn't the only one who didn't know what it was for.

It's not for the oil cooler either. The oil cooler uses a round rubber gasket that looks exactly like a gasket on an oil filter.

That gasket goes under the oil filter adapter, which bolts to the block. Not necessary to use.

I sorta thought it might be for the adapter, but then GM does not list one. Not to worry, I guess.

not too rare.. i must have 3 in my garage I always get one when i get a new oil pan gasket from felpro

Ill sell 3 for $35

See i not as dumb as i sound. I have to vehicles with oil coolers and have replaced gaskets in both.
