Old CC306 runs 11.42@118.9mph!
Re: Old CC306 runs 11.42@118.9mph!
too bad the LE 2 cam never got tuned out. The car was a rocket with that little 226/234 cam and ported heads with STOCK VALVES. 11.60's at 117 MPH was pretty fast for that set up.
I don't care how you look at it, 118 MPH is VERY impressive for a N/A LT1.

What RPM are you shifting at and what are you going thru the lights at RPM wise ? Man , with those gears you still have alot left in that combo . I had 3.73's and a 3200 stall and this cam still wanted a 4.10 gear . With this combo ( stock shortblock , Stg 3 MTI LT4's 2.05/1.60 , cc306 ) with my auto I went 117 . My buddy on the other hand with a 6 speed , 4.30 gear and heads not as good as mine went 121 N/A . We were shifting at 7K rpm .
Great times man , it should only get better for ya

The car runs on 26x10" ET drags right now but a new set of ET street radials will be going on shortly for some more N/A MPH! I shift about 6800rpms. The bottomend has a stock crank and rods. The car will run 120mph on motor when some better weather gets here and I get to tune on it a little. This was first time out! Thanks for the compliments guys. Later Clint
