Old CC306 runs 11.42@118.9mph!

I recently had some engine troubles and ended up getting rid of most of my good parts, Lloyd Elliott heads, Joe O cam, 30#SVO's ported intake and 58mm throttle body, with the intentions of building a blower, low compression LT1, motor. Well a local guy had a set of heavily ported 2.06, 1.600 valved LT1 heads, CC306 and I had a shortblock with some Weisco pistons. I hurried up and slapped all this together and threw it in my car. I found a tune for a CC306 on Brent's site and put it in my computer with the stock 24# injectors and I borrowed a friends 58mm(Which I since purchased). Headed out last nite to the track with stock 3.42's and ran 1.64 60' 7.34 1/8th mi.@94mph 11.49@118.1mph very first pass Naturally aspirated! I am really impressed with this setup! I made another pass and went 1.65 60' 7.32 1/8thmi.@95mph, 11.42@118.69mph! The DA was 900-1,000' above sealevel so no outrageous conditions either. Well the car spun a little and the trans. or converter was slipping a little so I think I may keep this setup and see if it will go 11.teens to 20's! I should have some video very shortly. The car also weighed 3500LBS. raceweight and has full true dual 3inch exhaust to the bumper. Just to let you guys know that it's not all in the camshaft. Later Clint

Re: Old CC306 runs 11.42@118.9mph!

The car ran 11.66@117mph last year with the LE1 cam 226-234@50 and slowed down with the LE2 b/c I had a tight converter and 3.42 with a undynotuned setup also. But the same tight converter, tune off of the net, and 3.42 the car ran 11.42@118.9mph with the trans/converter slipping up top. So I know it has quite abit left in it and I have a set of QA1's waiting to go on to help some traction issues. later Thanks for the compliments. Clint

Oh I don't have pics of the exhaust but it came out cleaner than I expected by a local shop. I stayed and worked with him the whole time to get it the way I wanted it. I have an X-pipe directly after the collectors and then it goes under the rear and I have bullets mounted at the bumper and some 6inch tips after that. The car is still on the stock 10bolt with 3.42's and no transbreak. Later Clint

You need to use the tune off of Brents site and you should run as least as quick or quicker than my car with lower gears and bigger converter. My car ran 12.01@112mph last weekend on a junk tune and picked up 6tenths and 6mph with just adding the tune!

http://www.zeeya.cz28.com/tuning.htm Heres the site. You should try your tune at the track then swap to this one and see if it picks up but this tune is for 24# injectors. later Clint

That's freakin' sweet! Good job, and those trap speeds are awesome.
