Is it okay to use stock pushrods for 2-3 days with guideplates???

I want to get my car running and I just found that I had a bent pushrod. I need to get it running so I can adjust the rockers and break the car in. I won't be doing any high performance driving, I just want it to be running until I get new pushrods from cmotorsports.

You can go down to Chevrolet and buy 1 hardened pushrod for about $8.00 I believe. As long as your pushrods are stock length, you should be okay with that.

You should double check if this is the one that's hardened, but I think the PN is 14044874.

I wouldn't run a non-hardened pushrod with guideplates. It may not wear all the way, but it'll certainly shave some metal into your engine over time.

Sounds like you answered your own question.
"Bent push rod"
It's probably bent because its not hardened.

I would wait for the new PRs. No one can tell you what will happen. JMHO

It bent because the rocker was too tight. Please just answer that question I'm trying to get my car running.

Ok, my answer is, I wouldn't. Others may say it "should" be ok, but I doubt that anyone is going to say it "will" be OK.

I am, however, a bit conservative nowadays, having blown, what I thought was) a perfectly sound engine.

I wouldn't take MY advice if I were you.
