Ok this is my problem... PLEASE tell me its the solenoid...
95 formula a4
shifts 1-2 perfectly... accept for if i redline it... it doesn't want to shift at all... it'll just stay NEAR redline untill i let off the gas a little to let it shift... then it won't shift out of 2nd into 3rd.. and at higher speeds if i leave it in drive... it wants to go 1-2-1... rare but its happen... it MAY have just been throttle position making it shift down tho... but regardless i've been leaving it in "2" to prevent that... solenoid? also which ones should i change? just 2-3 or 1-2 also? how bout 3-4?

Ok, I manage a transmission shop in NJ. I just asked one of the tech's in the back what your problem could be.....Are you getting any lights like check engine or anything? Do you have access to a scanner? It could be the shift solenoids, your TPS could be out of whack, or it could be a Pressure Manifold Switch.....or it could be the start of something more. If you can scan it, let me know what it says & I'll see what they say in the back. If your not able to scan it, do the 1-2, 2-3 solenoids FIRST then try the TPS. Let me know!

try having your fluid and filter changed. when mine was low (leaky seal) it did the exact same thing only not as bad. after i got enough fluid back into it and a new filter and seal it was just fine. hope that helps.

fluid and filter were just changed 2 weeks ago.. and theres still more then enough fluid in there.. i not getting any lights... and i don't have a scanner... which is what is worrying me... becuase iw ould think if it were electrical i would be getting a SES... also when i floor it in 2nd it drops to 1st just like it should and the pickup is just as strong as always... with no delay so i don't think its the tps either... oh well... i guess its off to gm for me
