you guys are running almost as quick in a 1/4 mile as i do in the 1/8 mile!!! lol
once i build my twin turbo 396 LT1, i'll run the 15w 50 synthetic, but until then (if it ever happens) i'll be running 5w 30 or possibly 10w 30 or 10w 40 if you guys think it will offer better protection. i put alot of miles on my cars and atleast for the next year it will be mostly stock.

I run the same 15W50 in my cars as well... but do live in Florida. The engine builders I know and mechanics actually recommend this even for a new car. In fact, two mechanics I know have run this in their pick up trucks. One has over 300,000 miles on his and the other has over 250,000 I do believe. Neither have had the engine apart for repairs and they have run 15W50 syn since day one. That's enough for me to not argue with them
