I want to use a Moroso Billet pump ( # 22171 ) on my LT1 ( 383 ) . I had a Canton ( 242T pan on it , but the sump isn't deep enough for this pump, pan has to be 8.250 deep. Is anyone using this pump ,and what pan are you using . The car is a 94 Camaro with BMR tubular K member and motor plates .

Have you tried calling or E-Mailing Moroso. They make a lot of pans, including custom apps.

 

I spoke with one of their reps. on the phone , he said they don't have an off shelf pan , but could fab. one for around $500. That's not a bad price but I was looking for something not on that price range. My engine builder told me Milodon make a billet oil pump that will fit in the Canton pan. Thanks.

 

Why don't you use something that works? Canton 242T pan with Melling 10554 std. vol/high pressure pump and Canton 20-023 pickup? What says you HAVE to use a Moroso pump?

Change the pump/pickup, not the pan.

 

We run a moroso billet pump on our 8.50 index car with excellent results , it was more the choice of the engine builder . We have found a billet pump from Milodon that will work with the Canton pan. Thanks
