i thought there was a sticky with lt1 parts on here.. i had to take a head off my vette and took a look at my oil pump drive and the gear was worn pretty bad. i know part of it is cause i have a high volume pump and have a few spares but i was wanting to replace it with something that would last cause the stock one was in perfect shape when put in and 50 miles of use its already shot. i have a cam from LE and it looks to have a cast iron gear. any one have some part numbers off hand.

 

i had the same issue you got to check the cam card there is a pn on it that will tell you if its a billet gear in the back, mine lasted 9k miles before i lost oil pressure, i had to put on a bronze gear which i think crane cams makes for the oil pump shaft size on these motors

do you remember what size it was?

 

Just do a search on oil pump drive gear I'm sure the size will come up, I wanna say the size is .426 I think
