when do you think is good time to change the oil pump on the car, you go by the mileage, or by the age of the car, or just let it go, my car only has 24k on it, but its a 96, just dont want the pump to go then fry the engine

 

you will be alright...i have a 94 w/ 60 something on it....no problems.

 

Your pump shouldnt go at all unless something is very wrong or your car has taken a ton of abuse...it should be a very long time before you have to worry about the pump...
