i have an autometer gauge, and i tried installing the sending unit above the oil filter but the y pipe, flanges are in the way. How can i get this to fit in there? can i get a 90deg fitting and install that in there, and run the sensor down along the side of the oil filter?

Get whatever adapters, fittings, elbows that will make it work for you.

 

will teflon tape seal good enough or is there something better?

 

Use some pipe dope instead of teflon tape. The tape does not hold up to the oil very well.

 

I have the same magnaflow too and love it, you can usually get a used one on ebay or cragislist. I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. Magnaflow 27503. Also some of the forum sponsors usually have a sale going on. Either way its a great exhaust system, sounds great, and very easy to install.
