Oil pressure question: Shoots up instead of falling off.
Been reading a lot of threads lately with people having issues with oil pressure falling off at WOT. Well my new motor has done just fine holding 60psi at WOT.
I finally made it to the track tonight and made some passes.
At WOT I get 60psi, then once I get to @ 6krpms it pegs at 80. Not like it rises, the needle jumps/flashes to 80+ and stays there. Its just odd to see because it does just like my friends motor who looses pressure, but instead mine increases.

When the sensor craps out or the wire comes loose, the dash gauge will read 80psi. Are you sure you don't have a loose wire causing an intermittent problem?
