Oil pressure problems...collasped lifter? (Kinda long)
Re: Oil pressure problems...collasped lifter? (Kinda long)
What about the 20W50? Is this ok to use...i've done a search but couldn't really find anything useful about 20W50....i know my oil pressure is way way better now!

20w50 is really too thick to use. It won't hurt anything, but you may be losing a little power because it takes more force for the motor to pump 20w50 as opposed to a 10w30 or a 5w40. I found the Mobil 1 0w40 to be ideal for my car.
When I'm looking at oil pressure I want to see about 10 psi per 1000 RPM. So at redline I'm looking for close to 60 psi. As long as you have that you are just fine.
