got 113k miles on my lt1, and was just wondering about my oil pressure... before driving the car after sitting a night i let it warm up about 5-10 minutes, after that under light throttle it'll move to around a little under 40, and hard throttle, pegged right to 40 or a little above (depending on how long it sat overnight). later in the cruise, while sitting a stoplight perhaps, it'll hover right around 20psi, +/- 1psi. now maybe i just like to worry, but is the oil pressure ok? too low, too high? after driving around for about 20 minutes, WOT yields ~40psi. thanks for the insight.

Your oil pressure sounds perfectly normal and within lt1 specs.

 

i have 120K miles on my 97 Z28. My car operates with the same oil pressure as yours.

 

mine is the exact same as well.

when i first start the car under light throttle it stays at about 60psi for a few minutes as well.
