oil pouring out of rocker

There is a clacking noise when the car runs, frequency correlates with rpm, the idle also goes down sometimes like it wants to die. I thought loose rocker arm, so i pulled passenger side valve cover cuz it seemed to be coming from that side. Couldnt see any rocker that was obviously loose, but noticed the rocker on the #6 piston (3rd from back) was spitting out way more oil than the rest of them.

the rocker would tighten another 1/2 turn before getting tight, but oil was still squirting out of it, and I could still hear the loud tapping noise. I did a search and am still stumped. Any ideas?

Normal--some do it some don,t.Had an early small block that would squirt oil on every one out over the fenders on a '58 Chevy.Won't hurt a thing. The hole in the rocker is not quite inline with the pushrod.

so thats a coincidence then. I'll check the rockers on the other side. I notice a bit of squealing with the tapping... Thats not a spun bearing is it?

Re: oil pouring out of rocker

yeah, comp pro mags. The torque arm mount came loose cuz the bolt backed out. SO that was banging around. I drove it for maybe 15miles max like that. I bolted it back in place real tight and now I have this clacking sound and squeeling sound, that I was hoping would go away when i put the torque arm mount back on.

I'll try to post a sound clip tomorrow.
